Nearing the end of the class I started writing this blog for, I have decided to conclude with some more recent ideas of art and photography and some future ideas of travelling to India. I am excited to go many places within India and I would like to highlight some of the major areas I would like to receive darshan at.
This particular place is located in the northern region of India in the Trikuta mountains. It is one of the most holy pilgrimages in India and is dedicated to Shakti Maa. I really want to go and experience the great view of the moutains and take amazing photographs of the temples nearby. Many people belive they need to get a call from the divine to reach this temple as well as to arrive safely. Let’s I get my call soon.
Vrindavan is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. I would really like to see this religious site since I have heard so many stories and read a lot of the teachings of Lord Krishna from the Gita and Bhagvat Purana. My dad had recently gone this January and took a lot of pictures. I want to visit the Banke Bihari Temple dedicated to the child-like form of Krishna.
Lastly, I would like to visit Kailash, the abode of Mahadev- Lord Shiva. It is located high up in the mountains in Tibet. It is a very hard pligrimage to take on, and one must be in good health. A lot of people try to do the journey within the summer months when there is less snow. I would love to be able to take some wonderful photos of Kailash and experience all of the temples in the area. Also, I always hear my parents talk about Manasarova, which is a lake.
These are just a few of the many places I would like to visit. It is hard to decide which I will get to go first, as many of these religious places are all not possible at one go due to the areas being heavily populated.
